WPS cable length encoder – compact, robust, integrated
When it comes to precise position measurement over long distances, the new WPS cable pull mechanism for the C__582 series rotary encoders is the right choice. The mechanism has been specifically reduced in size and offers optional IP67 protection – for use even in harsh environmental conditions.
Save space, maintain performance
The compact integration of a genuine multiturn encoder directly into the cable pull mechanism has significantly reduced the installation space required. Nevertheless, high resolution with excellent accuracy has been achieved. Installation on machines is flexible: the direction of the data and supply cables can be customized to suit customer requirements. Grooves for slotted nuts on three sides of the housing and additional holes in the drum housing ensure simple and stable mounting. Full interface variety – full integration
The WPS cable pull mechanism is fully integrated into the proven C__582 family. TR Electronic thus has almost all the interfaces required for modern automation at its disposal:
- Industrial Ethernet: PROFINET, EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, Powerlink
- Fieldbuses: CANopen, PROFIBUS, Interbus
- Point-to-point: SSI, analog, parallel, RS485, IO-Link, DRIVECLIQ
Application-specific connector arrangements (radial or axial) are also available. Synchronized position detection and extended encoder data for machine monitoring and Industry 4.0 round out the package.
