If the environment is "aggressive": Compact stainless steel rotary encoder with Industrial Ethernet

CEV84 absolute rotary encoders with Industrial Ethernet from TR-Electronic also operate reliably in aggressive environments.

In paper processing it is groundwood pulp, in process technology it is acids and lyes, in food processing technology it is hot cleaning solutions under high pressure. Rotary encoders constantly come into contact with aggressive media. Established applications were previously limited to field buses and SSI as interface.
Compact rotary encoders with Industrial Ethernet are now also suitably equipped for an aggressive environment: Packaged in the proven MP01 protective housing, the CEV84Ms with Profinet, Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, Sercos and soon also Powerlinkcan withstand everything that an ordinary stainless steel can tolerate. At the same time they can be cleaned with water under high pressure and are therefore also suitable for use in food processing machines and plants.
The rotary encoder is integrated into the bus system using high-density plug connectors. This simplifies installation and commissioning considerably. Suitable preassembled cables are available on the market, so that the connection can be established without having to strip and install cables in-situ. This affects the overall length: The CEV84M with Industrial Ethernet interfaces is much shorter than the traditional variants with SSI and field bus hood.
All displays required for the respective networks are visible from the outside, and any access to address switches is sealed by suitable screwed connections during operation. The rotary encoder is either clamped with the 36 mm centering collar, screwed down with the frontal threads or fixed to the machine with clamping shoes. The modular shaft/flange system from TR-Electronic also allows other variants, without having to change the basic design of the rotary encoder.
CEV84M brings the world of cutting-edge industrial networks to paper machines, process plants and to the pharmaceutical and food industry.  press article including photograph Our rotary encoders in a stainless steel housing, type 84 in the
