TR-Electronic introduces the SIL shaft encoder CD_582+FS.

The trade fair novelty of TR-Electronic is rather inconspicuous when viewed from the outside: An absolute shaft encoder in 58 mm standard size. But this innovation has it all! This compact installation space holds a true absolute multi-turn double shaft encoder system with integrated safety evaluation that outputs error-protected data (“Safe Position” – SLP). The shaft encoder version determines whether it is for the highest safety level SIL3 or PLe or a variant adapted to the requirements of SIL2/PLd applications. This ultra-compact SIL shaft encoder fits into a wide variety of mounting situations.

The C_H802 series from TR-Electronic.

Directly assembling shaft encoders with a continuous hollow shaft is a very effective method of reliably detecting the absolute angular position of drive shafts across many revolutions. No special shaft ends on motors, no clutches. High torque drive trains require shafts with a correspondingly large diameter. The absolute multi-turn shaft encoders C_H802 provide precise position information for shafts up to a diameter of 27 mm.

LM_S34 is an absolute linear sensor that is perfectly adapted to standard industrial applications with a resolution of 0.01 mm and a measuring length of 3 m. The first member of the 34 family is the sensor rod for direct installation in hydraulic cylinders with the usual direct interfaces SSI, analogue, and CAN. The head’s width across flats is 34 mm; the sensor head therefore fits into compact hydraulic cylinders. The measuring systems with magnetostriction work completely contactless and therefore wear-free.
